Hello 605 Fans,
My name is Connor Watley and I have recently started working for 605 Running Company. Well, what can I say? I guess that I have had a fairly normal life so far. I am 16 and going to be a sophomore at Sioux Falls Christian. I run Cross country, I do Oral Interp, and I am on student council. (That’s just the stuff I do in the fall) In the winter my life usually calms down a bit and I focus on winter conditioning for track. Then in the spring it’s straight off to actual track workouts and then the races. Finally we get to summer again where I start up training for Cross Country again. So I guess you could say I spend quite a bit of my life running. I’m not just into running though, I also go around on Sundays play either an electric guitar, an acoustic, or my ukulele for a praise team and worship group that I love being a part of. The band’s name is Happy the Dog. I am also very close with my family. I have two brothers. Chase who is 18 tried running for a short time but then took more of a liking to golf and tennis. My younger brother who is 13 just started getting into running this past year. He does track and cross country too. I’m Cousins with Grant, Paul, and Logan, but we usually see Grant quite often. Most people hate going to school but I actually enjoy it. There is such a good atmosphere at Sioux Falls Christian that it doesn’t feel all depressing and boring but instead it’s uplifting and a blessing to be surrounded by Christian students, teachers, coaches, and other athletes. Probably the whole reason that I got into running in the first place was that I was pretty bad at most other sports except I could run well and my older brother did it so why not give it a try, and now I just love it and have been hooked on it ever since. Happy Running, Conner

Hi, I am Kelli Huenecke, a new employee at 605 Running Company. A little bit about me: I enjoy a little coffee, running, and Jesus. I grew up in Iowa, playing multiple sports in school, which helped me realize that hand-eye coordination sports were not my thing and I should just stick to running. After high school, I enjoyed a year of college at Iowa State University where I realized I missed being a part of a track and cross country team. I then transferred to the University of Sioux Falls and was able to be a part of their running program. This is my 4 month old son, Lux Roman. I always dreamed that when I became a mom, I would own a BOB jogging stroller. I was ecstatic when I finally owned one (thanks to my wonderful parents) and found myself walking around the house pushing an empty stroller before the little guy came. I dreamed of nice long runs, breeze in my hair, and him smiling up at me. What I didn’t know was how difficult it would be to run with something that is so easy to push. It is definitely a different way of running that I am still getting used to. So if you see me huffing and puffing on the bike trail, or even walking, just smile and wave. And to all the moms out there running miles with a stroller (or even a double stroller), kudos to you! Sincerely, The New Runner Mom PS If you have any pointers on running with a stroller, I will gladly take them! The Altra Torin 2.0 is my favorite shoe to work long hours in here at the store. I really enjoy the extra wide toe box and high cushion of this shoe. The air mesh upper breathes well and the shoe has a slip on feel. I've also enjoyed the look of this shoe including the highly reflective material for walking or running in the evening or early mornings.
