Spring Fling Spotlight: Say Anything... Jewelry by Stephanie Wilde

One of my favorite things about Downtown Sioux Falls is that it’s full of people who aren’t afraid to build something from scratch — and then keep building, year after year. Stephanie Wilde is one of those people.

Say Anything... Jewelry started back in 2009 on her kitchen counter. After breaking her foot and being unable to work her full-time serving job, Stephanie used the downtime to teach herself how to make handstamped jewelry. There were no YouTube tutorials back then — just curiosity, trial and error, and persistence. A year later, she was able to quit her job. By 2011, she opened her first retail location in Uptown, and in 2015, she moved to her current home at 225 S. Phillips Ave.

Today, Say Anything... Jewelry is best known for its custom keepsake pieces. Stephanie and her team create jewelry from your loved one’s handwriting, fingerprints, drawings, or even your pet’s paw prints. These are heartfelt, handmade items created right here in Sioux Falls — and they’re made to last a lifetime. They also offer walk-in permanent jewelry services during regular business hours: Tuesday through Friday 10–5:30 and Saturdays 10–3.

I love this quote from Stephanie: “We will make everything as close to perfect as something handmade can be. That is my commitment to my clients.” After 16 years in business, that’s the kind of care and consistency that has helped her become a Downtown staple.

When asked about her perfect Downtown day, Stephanie paints a picture I think many of us can get behind — brunch, the Farmer’s Market, a walk through 8th & Railroad, shopping along Phillips, happy hour at The Treasury, dinner at Parker’s, and maybe a musical or movie to close out the night. Her list of Downtown favorites is long and full of love for her fellow business owners — from M.B. Haskett and Josiah’s, to Gist, CH Patisserie, Juniper Apothecary, and Terra Shepherd. She’s not just a supporter of Downtown — she’s an ambassador, always sending visitors off with recommendations and tips to explore all the best spots.
