Fit Advisor

605 Running Company · 20–25 hours/week · Weekday Availability + Two Weekend Days Per Month

  • Expanded part-time role: 20–25 hours per week across our Sioux Falls stores
  • Weekday availability: help provide consistent coverage during regular store hours
  • Weekend commitment: availability for two weekend days each month

Fit Advisors are the heartbeat of 605 Running Company. This role helps shape the customer experience, sets the tone for each visit, and ensures our stores remain welcoming, organized, and ready to serve.

Our Fit Advisor team allows customers to receive consistent, knowledgeable service while giving our leadership team the flexibility to assist with challenging fits, coaching, events, and other areas of the business.

Schedule

  • 20–25 hours per week
  • Regular weekday availability is required
  • Must be available for two weekend days per month
  • Scheduling may include shifts at both Sioux Falls store locations
  • Some additional event support may be requested as needed

Compensation

  • $12.50/hour during a 60-day probationary period
  • Pay may increase to up to $14.00/hour following a probationary review
  • Includes product perks, employee discounts, reward opportunities, and an annual wage review

What you’ll do

Customer Experience

  • Greet every customer warmly and create a positive first impression
  • Provide tailored outfitting recommendations for running shoes, apparel, and accessories
  • Deliver a helpful, encouraging, and high-service in-store experience
  • Efficiently complete customer transactions

Store Standards

  • Open and close the retail shop when scheduled
  • Follow non-negotiable procedures for cleanliness, presentation, and maintenance
  • Help keep the store beautiful, organized, and inviting
  • Support daily operational tasks that keep the shop running smoothly

Product & Brand Support

  • Stay informed on products and industry trends
  • Use customer service training to improve outfitting experiences
  • Contribute to marketing initiatives, including social media, direct marketing, and community outreach
  • Assist with event support including flyer distribution, packet pickup, course marking, timing, and other event-specific duties

Qualifications and skills

  • Eligible to work in South Dakota, USA
  • Must have access to a reliable vehicle
  • Ability to lift 45 lbs.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong problem-solving abilities
  • Passion for delivering outstanding customer service
  • Team-oriented, organized, and detail-focused
  • Previous customer service experience is beneficial
  • Basic understanding of photography, graphic design, or communications is a plus
