skedaddle elite: matt horan

A hometown hero, Matthew Horan, will be joining us again for the 2022 Sioux Falls Skedaddle. He has a resume that includes All American honors while running Cross Country at the University of Sioux Falls and winning the NSIC Conference outdoor 10k. He credits his continued success on the roads to his tempo workouts, keeping it simple with a hard effort and not having to change things up too much. 

Career Highlights:

• Placed 4th overall in the Sioux Falls Marathon in Sept 2019
• Won the Deadwood Mickelson Trail Half Marathon in June 2019 (ran 1:14:57).
• Qualified for 2020 Boston Marathon & ran virtual Boston marathon in Sioux Falls in Sept 2020 (ran 2:41:12 which placed me 49th)
• Place 3rd at Skedaddle in April 2019 (ran 1:16:19)
• Was an All American in college at USF for Cross Country (placed 20th at Nationals in 2014)
• Conference Champion in the 10K Outdoor in 2014 when I ran 30:47
• 10k – 30:47 – May 9, 2014 in Winona, MN, NSIC outdoor conference track meet
• Half Marathon: 1:13:03 – Good Life Halfsy in Lincoln, NE on 11/20/2020
• Marathon: 2:40:51 – Sioux Falls full Marathon on 9/8/2019
